Made by Wallace Long (1891-1955).
All original except for replaced paddles.
c. 1952. 41” x 40” x 11”.

Captain Wallace Long spent most of his years on the sea, where he captained a number of Nantucket boats, including the Alice Wentworth. Long was also considered one of Nantucket’s finest cabinet makers. In later years he worked as a custodian at the Nantucket Whaling Museum.
