7" Open Round Nantucket Lightship Basket Dated 1953

7" Round with oak staves, rim and handle, the interior base is made out of mahogany with incised rings and whalebone plug, the bottom is branded, "1953". Attributed to G,H, 'Bunt' Mackay (1885-1971). Mackay was a long time seasonal resident and is a past president of the Wharf Rat Club, c, 1960
