8 ½” Open Round with Label, made by Sandsbury

8 ½”   Round Nantucket lightship basket with oak staves, swing handle and rim, the handle is attached with brass ears. The base is mahogany with with four incised circles and has the original paper label. Herbert Sandsbury (1911-1984) was a skilled Island carpenter, who worked many years as a cabinet maker at Marine Lumber.
