Four Winds Craft Guild has been in the business of selling authentic local arts, crafts, and baskets on Nantucket since 1948. Current owner John Sylvia has followed in his father and grandfather’s footsteps in running Sylvia Antiques, now in its 82nd year of operation on Nantucket.

Located at 15 Main St, in the historic Pacific Club building, Four Winds Craft Guild is managed by Miranda Holmes, who has been dealing in antiques on Nantucket for the past 12 years and specializes in antique and vintage Nantucket baskets.

We love Nantucket and the people who contribute to the island’s rich history, and we take particular pride in representing the fine artists whose work we sell. Our number one goal is customer satisfaction, and we strive to do our best for each person who steps through our door, in hopes of growing our community of friends and collectors alike.

Each of our offerings have been carefully hand selected and are all one of a kind, hand-crafted pieces perfect for any home and collector. We strive to focus on the creative abilities of local craftspeople and do not carry any imported items.

Repairs: Nantucket lightship baskets can require upkeep and maintenance. We work with many wonderful basket weavers, allowing us to offer all types of basket repairs ranging from a small fix to a full refurbishment.
Appraisals: Nantucket baskets occupy such a small niche within the field of decorative arts and hold such a large range in valuation, that it can be difficult to know what you have. We are happy to offer basket appraisals to help you determine the history and value of your basket.
