Sylvia Antiques
Based on Nantucket Island, Sylvia Antiques specializes in 18th, 19th, and early 20th century marine-related items, including Nantucket lightship baskets, scrimshaw, and early Nantucket art, as well as Americana and folk art. Owner John Sylvia is a third-generation dealer, son of Richard (Sam) and grandson of Frank, who founded the business in 1927.
The Sylvia family acquired the Four Winds Craft Guild in the mid-1980s. Four Winds specializes in contemporary Nantucket crafts, representing the work of many of the island's best craftspeople. (more)

Four Winds Craft Guild
Four Winds Craft Guild has been in the business of selling authentic local arts, crafts, and baskets on Nantucket since 1948. Current owner John Sylvia followed in his father's and grandfather's footsteps in running Sylvia Antiques, now in its 85th year of operation on Nantucket. The Sylvia family acquired Four Winds Craft Guild in the mid-1980's. Guild manager Miranda Holmes has been dealing in antiques on Nantucket for the past 14 years and specializes in antique and vintage Nantucket baskets.
We love Nantucket and the people who contribute to the island's rich history and we take particular pride in representing the fine artists whose work we sell. Our number one goal is customer satisfaction, and we strive to do our best for each person who steps through our door, in hopes of growing our community of friends and collectors alike. (more)
